Stumbled across some blackout tape in advanced auto parts and did a long overdue chrome delete. This stuff was very easy to work with all i needed was scissors, a razor blade, and very thin poke tool to run in between the weather stripping. I ran the bottom edge just about flush ( alittle overhang is ok to tuck under the weather strip) and cut excess off of the top. I have never done this before and it came out basically perfect i would recommend everyone to do this.

Do you think that would be better than having the chrome wrapped. I've seen that we can buy the black wrap. I'm asking because I don't like the tape line on the flare at the back of the windows.

Do you need the "Pokey tool"
Not necessarily, but would help alot or to use something similar to lift up the weather strips a little bit to tuck it under.
