Yeah if you are running the base map you'll want to drive very carefully and avoid doing any WOTs. However, you'll be just fine running a custom tune all the time, if you want to be easier on the engine then just run map 1 or 2 most of the time, or if you can control your throttle foot then running map 3 all the time should be okay. If you are worried about reliability, then let the tuner know you'd like it a bit more conservative.I plan on it. about how much do they run? i want to keep it conservative for now until i have a block ready.I was told not to run the base map for to long.

I know it seems expensive, but a custom tune is more about reliability than it is performance. More performance is just icing on the cake.
