Upgrade to parking brake switch 2017-2018 model years

Has anyone heard or seen of a way to get a "illuminated" parking brake switch upgrade done for 2017-18 models?

I find myself double checking if the switch is engaged a lot of times. It would be nice to have that little led indicator!

I agree and would like to know if this can be done and how. I figure theres one extra wire in the connector but could be a different pigtail?

Well given enough time and money anything is possible, but it would be a significant undertaking. In addition to the button itself, it's a completely different dash wiring harness (which includes the console wiring) and a different BCM.

I suppose with a donor car you could swap wiring harnesses and BCM. Then have a dealer program the BCM to communicate with the rest of the modules (each one has it's own unique address) but there would be a lot to it for just one little light. Sorry.

You need not to look down to double check. If engaged, the parking light indicator will light up at the dash. Likewise for Brake Hold, it will also from the dash. I think is just need to get use to it.
