Hello, I've searched the forum, but couldn't find an answer, everyone here seems to be using the SWI adapter from Metra.

Has anybody in Europe successfully connected the steering wheel controls to a brand name aftermarket headunit? Which adapter have you used?

TLDR:
I bought an Alpine INE-W720D and was advised to get this adapter:
https://connects2.com/Product/ProductItem/CTSHO011.2 with the Alpine patch lead.

But after the unit was installed, the guy who installed it said that the SWC don't work, because this is the wrong adapter, it's for a newer car and that I should buy this one:
https://shop.acvgmbh.de/de/lfb-honda-civicfk-2012-2017-24pin20pin-honda--4355.html?

But it says on the website that this is applicable for vehicles: Honda Civic (FK) 02/2012 - 02/2018
FK seems to be the 10th generation, but the production didn't start in 2012, so I don't want to buy something wrong again.

My car is a 2018 sedan, not the most basic trim, but I think the trim was called comfort. It has some more speakers, heated seats, honda sensing, but still the 5" display. I'm assuming it's the equivalent of LX. The inside looks exactly like the picture.

I'd appreciate any help or tips.

Long story:
After I bought the car in 2018, I installed a Dasaita unit from Aliexpress, SWC worked great, but the unit had its glitches and was a bit unreliable (no GPS signal when you need it, no DAB+ antenna found sometimes, ...). After some time, I realized that I was using the unit just for playing the radio, for anything else, it was more convenient to just use the Phone, so I decided to get an Alpine head unit.
