Has anyone tried a large spare tire from say an MDX or other Honda Acura model with 5x120mm bolt pattern? I should have read this thread before buying this for $50,

but now I only need the spare tire.
As long as it clears the rear brakes you should be fine

Regular price $220.18, Sale price $228.16? What marketing genius came up with that? If I go with that kit I'll get it from my local dealer for $150 and no shipping. Still have to find the tire off a junkyard spare of the same size. Ain't paying $150 for a new tire.

I bought one off a GMC Terrain 5 x 120 17 inch. Fits the rear only. On the front it needs a spacer to clear the caliper.
It’s recommended not to run a space saver on the front, that said 90% of my leaks were on the rear tire.

Decided to order a kit from the dealer just to have the new taller cover for a better look. Test fitted a regular donut with the stock cover and don't like how it sits above the floor at the sides. I can see stuff in the back rolling down there and under the cover becoming a pain.

Has anyone purchased or find any spare tire for the type r, since I will daily drive this beast :drive: any recommendations???
Just buy a full size spare. To many dont like their stock wheels.
