Is this the stock shifter?
I haven't had stock for quite some time, but there was some play in gear. Can you drive with it?

It seems like normal play on a stock shifter. You could tighten it up slightly with Acuity rocker mod.

If you are really concerned look at where the shifter cables attach to the levers on the top of the transmission casing. Make sure the bushings are locked in place with a cotter pin and make sure the cable bracket has the collar that keeps them in place fully seated.

Is this car used with modifications when you bought it?

That’s about normal as far as play goes. It’s cable actuated. So there’s some play plus the shifter is plastic so it’s not going to feel like a gated lambo

Did you get the cable bushings on okay without having to bend and twist the cables?
Yes I’ll make sure it doesn’t have any issues before install it I did it like 4 months ago

Check out the Hybrid Detent springs. They made a bigger difference in shifter feel than the Acuity bushings did for me, especially left-right play.
