Anyone install the OEM garage opener on our cars?

It looks like the cheap plastic spacer on our roof console can be popes out, I did it so it would stop rattling, and it looks like it the OEM civic touring garage opener will fit. I am unsure if other regions got the opener, Canada and their heated seats and Europe with their driving assist features on the 2017, and I want to see if I bought the OEM it would fit and connect easily. I know we did this for the Accord HVAC controls.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Yeah just follow that write up. I got the easier to find beige one so I just wrapped it to match the interior color.

Omg that's such a great idea. Did they not make a black headliner with the homelink? I thought the Civic hatchback had it, but maybe only in the sport you can get the black liner but that's not the touring. Either way this will be the way to do it. Thanks!

They do make a black one, the part number is somewhere in that thread also. It is rarer on ebay and usually more expensive. Of course you can always just buy it new at the dealer.

Yep, the 17+ (I think 17+, at least) Accord sport had it in black. Definitely harder to find without buying from an OEM part source. I lucked out with a dude selling a bunch in the marketplace, and he happened to be local

Yup, I was the one selling it over 2 years ago. Part is available from the 16-17 Accord coupe EX or EX-L only, so not many donor cars.

Thanks so much for posting this write up 98-0425, I used the instructions when I got my 2019. This was one of my first mods and couldn't believe the FK8 didn't come with this from the factory.
