which suggests Mugen actually makes these monstrosities ...

One thought on these...

Aesthetics aside, we are familiar with the typical "racing stripe" at the top of the wheel.
Supposedly this helps the driver with orientation of the wheel when driving at the limit.
Personally having tried that, I have never had such a headache in my life...

I find the Mugen wheel, with its distinctive shape (and textures) all around the wheel, gives your hands tactile feedback for where the wheel is at... like even if you were blindfolded, you could understand where the wheel was oriented.

I think from a racing perspective, this differentiated Left Right colour scheme could also give that visual indicator, without the seizure inducing constant back and forth of the typical racing stripe.

Anyway, just thoughts, I am sure people with the stripe have gotten used to it, or don't experience the same visual nausea that I got.

Yeah that's quite nice, compared to the big fat White stripe that I had tried.

Here is an installed fk8.

Slim info but from what I can gather. It was an anniversary release for a Japan tune shop.

Which means instead of $700, it was probably $1400. And no where else has posted this so it might be limited to that shop.

They brought this over to king and it promptly sold out at $750. Which is actually less than I thought it would sell for.

For anyone in Canada,
JRP is now distributing Mugen!

As much as I love King, we get reamed bringing anything across the border, so hopefully that helps.

That said … I still would not buy that clown shoes steering wheel
