Some more Hot Version released with English subs:
Volume 150 Type R vs. Megane RS from 2018
Volume 158 Type R vs. new Megane from 2019
There is probably a 2 litre turbo showdown coming which was done last year - the first two battles have been posted, and the Type R is shown in the...
Hot Version 2020, now with English sub-titles. Light-tuned Type R's from Seeker, J's Racing, and Spoon. DK and Max driving; Hibino and Dai Yoshihara guest drivers. Unusually for Hot Version, there was some contact in the 'race.'
It took a couple years, but the only road test that matters (besides Savage Geese, of course) finally has English sub-titles. This is part 1; hopefully Hot Version translates the other part(s) in the coming months.
tl;dw; Dori-dori wants a mechanical handbrake, but likes the speed.
I personally don't use the o-ring cable lockdown. It is there to prevent clicking that some people really don't like, but I don't notice the clicking. I let my cables hang naturally and adjust the shifter's fore-aft throw to offer the minimal cable resistance.
Shorter throws are a matter of...
Yes, although I bought those when there were no aftermarket options close to ET60. (The FK2 wheels are ET60 like the FK8 wheels.)
Tirerack has Motegi MR924's for a decent price, and they're ET53, so only a 1/4" offset. There are also the O.Z. Ultraleggera HLT and the various NSX front wheels -...
I think that it is that AHA is disabled while VSA is on and actively working. That's what it says in my manual (page 509, 2017 all hatchbacks manual). AFAIK, the pedal dance is the only (easy, stock) way to disable AHA.
At launch in 2017, they had a number of options up to 340hp (with 93 octane). Downrating a new model engine about 10% allows for room for growth in future models if competition warrants, and as an added cushion for unforeseen circumstances wih a new-ish engine in new markets. There was also a...
No holes. You may see some holes in my first posts showing the prototype, but the production shifter didn't keep them. You'd have to have all the holes that the stock shifter has (sh*tloads) just to avoid the support hassle of people saying "there's a hole missing," as different market cars have...
Here's an old pic before final installation. The view is from my eye level and the KTuner is set low enough to not obstruct forward view. It took me a while to realize that the steering wheel and factory gauge displays are actually offset towards the door - the KTuner is dead-straight forward...
Velcro along the top of the v2 and a piece of black plastic as a hood work fine ... but so does tilting the v2 forwards/downwards just a bit. I use the former for my oil pressure and oil temp gauges, tried a hood on my v2, but ended up just tilting it a bit.
I wish that the v2's backlighting...
Not surprisingly, the procedure has been posted in the do-it-yourself section of this forum:

The 2020 Type R has a better rad, and a more open front grill/rubber, than the 2017-2019's. I know that aftermarket rads (of sufficient size) are allowed in ST, but I wonder about the 2020 grill/rubber. If the Type R line in the STU rule becomes 2017-2020, then would use of all of the relevant...
