Replying to my own post...
I ended up ordering the linked wheels above and got the 225/40R18 Blizzaks mounted to them Wednesday morning, just as the snow was starting to fall (it was over 70 degrees here the day before!). They worked out just fine for me... The car was sitting a bit low in...
Sorry if this isn't the right thread to post this in, but I just put a deposit down on a 23 CTR, and I need to figure out a winter setup quickly.
I have a set of wheels and tires for my current car (a 2022 Golf R). Cheapo Sport Tuning ST7 18x8 with Blizzaks 225/40R18. My hope is that I just...
A web site is generally the first thing a customer experiences. Stating an outright LIE on the page about getting "instant" pricing is not a good opener. There's no way I am driving over 250 miles to a dealer in the "hope" of getting a good price.
On top of this, I got a canned email (after...
They just lost points with me. Web site requires you provide name and email to see their "best price" to INSTANTLY see the pricing. I tried it, and got a message that a sales rep will reply back.
Done.
As others have asked, was this really the out the door price (with tax and fees)? That would be a sub-$20k sale price assuming 6.25% sales tax in Illinois. I have a costco membership, but there are no local dealers for Honda that participate.
I think the green ones are difficult to move. Dealer near me has had one on their lot for a good 3 months, and they have it priced at $22228.

I am heavily leaning toward the sedan - just makes more sense. They are just hard to find locally lately - hopefully easier to find in a month or so when I am ready to buy.
This discussion made me think of the case of John Deere, where they have basically taken away your right to repair your own equipment. If you are bored, and want to do some light reading on the whole software/right to repair argument, check out (similar articles - probably don't need to read...
If you are getting winter wheels and tires anyway, wouldn't it make sense to keep the stock wheels as your winters? Or are you getting steelies for the winter?
There have been a fair number of wheel thefts reported on the current gen Civics and Accords on these (and other) forums, so there...
This is a super-long thread. Just curious if the OP had seen this post:

Interesting to me that they claim Honda did a one-time warranty replacement...
Many (many) years ago, a ex-GF bought a used Chevette, and proceeded to burn out the clutch as others (her dad) tried to teach her to drive it. They replaced the clutch, and then I tried to teach her. Instead of leaving it in neutral on one attempt (and leaving the engine running with the...
I LOL'ed at the "recovering Prius driver" statement. Did I mention that I have a spreadsheet tracking my calculated tank mileage going back to the day i bought it? :-) I am pretty sure i would want to STOP that behavior once the Prius is gone.
I do have a rough idea of the extra fuel cost...
