  1. Can you buy replacement bushings for hasport mounts?

Thanks, I ended up getting the 62a flanged bushes. I think theyll fit. Cause I've seen the hasports for our cars come with them. Gonna be fun to get the old ones out. Even tho I got a 20ton bottle jack press I think its gonna be interesting lol
  2. Can you buy replacement bushings for hasport mounts?

Well one more question, currently I'm about to get some, did you not like the 70a? I'm considering going from 62a to 70a. Or possibly just replacing all 3 with new versions of what I have
  3. nevermind

wouldn't let me delete this post lol changed my mind
  4. I am my own Guinea pig let’s see (modded hasport mount)

I just believe the failure is because the puny m10 bolts can’t hold up. If Honda put 3 m14 bolts to support the engine on the timing cover or passenger side, hasport should have done that on the drivers side trans mount too. Imo there isn’t any reason they did this other than their own...
  5. I am my own Guinea pig let’s see (modded hasport mount)

The other possibility is this is misinformation maybe they accidentally heard about the type r mounts they revised, talking to hasport the type r mounts will not bolt up
  6. I am my own Guinea pig let’s see (modded hasport mount)

I really am not sure, I’d just either go to a hardware store and put them in the thread finder things, or get a dial caliper and measure the thread diameter. If they’re m10 they’re the same, if they’re m12 or m14 they’ve been revised. another way to tell is if they look different from these...

Stock their m10 grade 12.9 for the three that go into the trans mount. I made my custom bracket and went up to grade 12.9 m12 partially threaded bolts.
  8. I am my own Guinea pig let’s see (modded hasport mount)

Eh to me the 3 bolts look the same. They’re the short 3 grade 12.9 bolts. Stock their m10. I went up to m12 they should be m14
  9. I am my own Guinea pig let’s see (modded hasport mount)

Lol give it time, mine was fine for about a year then the bolts broke 🤷‍♂️. Idk I mean some get lucky. I did make them tight and loctited them too.
  10. I am my own Guinea pig let’s see (modded hasport mount)

That would be cool cause I’ve been back and forth with hasport and they kept telling me no they don’t have a beefier solution, I even offered to buy it, they said no.. They should be m10 but if upgraded its gonna be m14. I used m12 for mine.
  11. I am my own Guinea pig let’s see (modded hasport mount)

You’re onto the right path, they used the same design for the type r and since the r has a heavier engine, those bolts broke instantly, they fixed that but refused to fix the non type r trans mounts.

Lol I guess you’re right on that one😂 it took longer than I’d like to admit to build this, but I really wanted to redesign the whole mount. really I thought it would be too hard to redesign the mount that holds the poly bushing. Like use their bushing but make it identical to the passenger...
  13. I am my own Guinea pig let’s see (modded hasport mount)

Hi guys, as some of you may or may not know, I’ve had some beef with hasport, even when those bolts were loctited and real tight they still broke. Sure they would gladly warranty it, but I don't trust their design. I modded the trans mount bracket and the mount. I made a custom bracket by...
  14. Can you buy replacement bushings for hasport mounts?

Hi guys, modding my hasport mount (trans side) is proving tricky. I'm onto something tho with m12 grade 12.9 partially threaded bolts and a support bracket, but anyway, can I replace just the bushes? I noticed kinda that just a tad on one of the trans mounts the poly bush is starting to...
  15. Hasport mounts suck really bad!! Nobody buy this product! Track day ruined

I think In part that they’re grade 12.9 they don’t stretch, they loosened initially and I loctited them then eventually they broke. Either way I still question hasports design and intend to improve it to make it solid.
  16. Hasport mounts suck really bad!! Nobody buy this product! Track day ruined

My plan was to drill it out for m12, and install bushings in the old holes for the bolt heads rod extra support. And run m12 hex head bolts all the way through. I guess you know more about engineering than I do. But I gotta see if it’s 1.5x the width tho
  17. Hasport mounts suck really bad!! Nobody buy this product! Track day ruined

As well my idea was to fill in the spots they machined in there with bushings that fit the m12 bolts and glue them in there to increase support, and run shouldered bolts all the way through so the threads aren't really bearing much of the load too, weld a set of nuts on the back. Not quite sure...
  18. Hasport mounts suck really bad!! Nobody buy this product! Track day ruined

Na its ok I know youre not calling me out, I just know from asking on this group previously on these mounts, I'm not the only one to break these bolts. I honestly don't remember, but I really believe this to be a whimpy design. Honestly, them using a set of bolts that are smaller than stock...
